does anybody remember that sitcom from the late 80s/early 90s?

It had the REM song STAND for the theme song. It was about this 30-40ish year old man and he lived with his Mom and Dad. It was hysterical and I cannot remember the name of it. Does anybody remember the name of it?

It had that funny guy in it that was in "something about mary"/ben stiller's best friend who always broke out in rashes and he was in one of the scary movies-the guy with the funny hand that cooked.
